Although christened Angela Pandy derives her unusual name from an Andy Pandy book which was given to her at the age of three. Angie / Angie Pangie / Andy Pandy / Pandy ..... or so they say, though some may say Pandemonium would be a more appropriate derivative! Pandy spent six years of her childhood living on the Summer Isles in Wester Ross and it was there, through singing in the Mods, that she started her successful career as a singer.

Pandy trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Glasgow and is now in much demand as a soloist for Weddings, Choral Society concerts and as a guest artist for Burns Suppers and Anniversary celebrations. Pandy has appeared regularly at festival concerts and has sung with , and been accompanied by, many well known Scottish artists including, Donald Maxwell and Jamie McDougall, George Donald of
Scotland the What ? fame.

The versatility of Pandy's voice and her broad interest and experience in singing songs from a variety of music styles has enabled her to create a rich and interesting repertoire. Amongst special requests are arias from French, German and Italian opera; Oratorios such as Mozart's Requiem; Sacred songs including 'Panis Angelicus' and Scottish and Gaelic Songs. She has some 'Old Favourites' including Malloy's ' Love's Old Sweet Song' and many other popular songs from the Shows. One of Pandy’s specialities is operetta. Her presentations of European operetta represent what this genre of music is all about - heady romance , humour and sparkle - 'Im Chambre Separée' from The Opera Ball by Richard Heuberger remaining one of the 'Top of the Pops' !

As well as performing as a solo artist Pandy works with a trio comprising a guest pianist with Flautist, Margaret Preston. They present rich, haunting and nostalgic programmes comprising music by an eclectic mix of classical composers.

Some of her more unusual performances include singing for the opening of the Home Coming Highland Games in Aboyne in 2009, recording a track with a classical touch for the internationally renowned rock band, Pallas, for their album ‘Dreams of Men’ and their latest CD "XXV" .
