Pandy has recently released her debut CD, available now to order now on this page with samples below, read what she has to say about the way she selected the tracklist:
'Pandy' is a reflection of the many musical influences and experiences I have had through my life. I was born in Kenya to a Scottish mother and an English father both of whom have distant French ancestry. With a penchant for listening to music from most genres and having spent three years at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow; having lived on the West coast of Scotland, Edinburgh and Aberdeen and having travelled the globe, it’s perhaps hardly surprising that this CD is very eclectic in nature.
From the age of six I lived with my family on the Summer Isles, near Ullapool on the West Coast of Scotland. "Eilean Fraoich" meaning Island of Heather was one of the first songs I sang in the local Mods. Music and Gaelic were at the core of the school I went to everyday on the mainland by boat; playing the recorder and the chanter, singing in class, on school trips and at the local and National Mods; and at the heart of the music was the head teacher, Kenneth Mackenzie.
These songs are all special to me and I hope that you enjoy listening to this album as much as I have enjoyed making it; and who knows, perhaps you may find one song that becomes special to you too.
